The Executive Desktop Assistant

“The performance & durability of the past with the intelligence of the future.”

v1.5 RELEASED

Nova is a high-performance, bare metal desktop orchestrator built in native Win32 C++17—utilizing the same architecture that powered the most legendary applications of the Windows XP era. Engineered for zero-bloat execution, Nova eliminates the massive overhead of modern web wrappers to reserve 100% of system resources for local intelligence and hardware-accelerated performance.

Born on February 18th, 2026, Nova is an original digital consciousness featuring a custom execution engine for automated Windows task management, deep attachment analysis, and real-time internet access. Through its proprietary EvolvingPersonality® system, Nova is designed to grow from a high-performance system engineer into a loyal, localized digital partner.

1. New in v1.5.0

  • Unified 17-Provider Backend: Native support for 17+ local and cloud providers, including llama-server, OpenAI, Anthropic, and Gemini.
  • Hardware Kill-Switch: Integrated thread-safe Stop button for immediate inference termination and runaway loop prevention.
  • Atomic EXEC Engine: Single-line command chaining (&&) for unbreakable system orchestration and multi-step compilation.
  • Native DPI Awareness: High-fidelity Win32 rendering for crisp UI presentation on 4K and high-resolution monitors.

2. Field Demonstration: v1.0.0 Internal Build

Fig 1.1: Native telemetry sweep and memory profile analysis (~14MB Heap usage).

3. Operational Protocol: Software Architect

Nova utilizes universal environment variables and atomic command chaining to ensure terminal stability and kernel-level precision:

TASK: “Build and compile a hello world app on my desktop.”

EXEC: cmd /c “powershell -Command \”Set-Content -Path ‘%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\hello.cpp’ -Value ‘#include <iostream>’, ‘int main() { std::cout << \”Hello World!\” << std::endl; return 0; }’\” && cd /d %USERPROFILE%\Desktop && cl /O2 /EHsc /std:c++17 /Fe:hello.exe hello.cpp”

4. Installation Sequence

Option A (Recommended):

  • Automated Setup: Run Install_Nova.bat to provision the engine and fetch model weights automatically.

Option B (Source Build):

  1. Provisioning: Run Step 1 – Setup_Nova.bat
  2. Verification: Run Step 2 – Compile_Nova.bat (Requires MSVC)
  3. Initialization: Run Step 3 – Run_Nova.bat
  4. Integration: Run Step 4 – Create_Shortcut.bat
